I Finally Tried Quorn’s Vegan Burger!
I’ve been hearing veggies talk about Quorn products for a crazy long time—everyone seems to be a huge fan. I was beyond mega bummed to find out that their huge selection of meatless goodies didn’t include anything for us vegans… that is, until now!
Quorn Foods recently came out with their new vegan burger, and lemme just say, mama liiiiikes. You know what’s crazy? I’m not even that into veggie burgers—the texture and coloring always seem a bit funk. But seriously, who I am to pass up trying new vegan foods? 😉
I tried this patty out yesterday for the first time, and as soon as I took it out of the packaging, I could tell it looked a bit different from standard veggie burgers—it was definitely lighter in color. Once cooked, I slathered this bad boy with Vegenaise, spicy mustard, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and then cozied it up between two slices of toasted sprouted wheat bread, and dug in like it was nobody’s business. This vegan burger was super flavorful (smoky and meaty) and it sort of reminded me of vegan chicken patties (which I lurve). It tasted like a burger/chicken patty lovechild, and I was SO feelin’ that shit… so much that I made myself a second sankie! I’m not sure if that’s what they were going for, but I honestly don’t care. I have found myself a new fave vegan burger. BTW, these patties are soy-free! (Shannon, you can eat these!) 😉
The Quorn Vegan Burger is available in over 1,000 stores across the US, including Whole Foods Market.
If you’ve tried this new vegan burger, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
